No matter how many times you have visited, there’s always a reason to return. Here are some to make your way to Paris this coming spring!

Notre Dame reborn

Paris in April is a time of vibrant cultural events and exciting activities, and now, there’s an extra reason to plan your trip: the reopened iconic Notre Dame Cathedral! As you stroll through the charming streets of Paris, the sight of the newly restored Notre Dame will take your breath away. The cathedral, with its stunning Gothic architecture, intricate stained glass windows, and majestic bell towers, stands as a testament to human resilience and craftsmanship. The restoration included innovative techniques and cutting-edge technology, such as 3D scanning, to ensure every detail was meticulously preserved. The new spire, crafted with a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, represents a harmonious blend of history and progress.

Easter celebrations

April is an especially significant time to visit Notre Dame, as it coincides with the Easter celebrations beginning on March 31. The cathedral will host special Easter services as part of its reopening celebrations, featuring music, liturgy, and special events, offering a deeply spiritual experience in this newly restored setting. The combination of the cathedral’s breathtaking beauty and the solemnity of Easter creates a unique and memorable experience for visitors.

Additionally, the city comes alive with Easter egg hunts in public parks, including the historic Luxembourg Gardens, which will host a large-scale egg hunt on April 20. From April 1 to 20, chocolatiers across Paris will create intricate chocolate sculptures, adding a touch of sweetness to the holiday.

Paris Marathon

Beyond Notre Dame, Paris in April is bustling with events that add to the city’s allure. The Paris Marathon, one of the largest and most scenic marathons in the world, will take place on April 13. The race winds through the city’s historic streets, offering runners and spectators alike a unique view of Paris. This event attracts thousands of participants from around the globe, making it a vibrant and energetic time to be in the city.
