As I approached a significant milestone birthday, I found myself grappling with mixed emotions. While some view it as a complete life cycle, others, like me, feel a sense of trepidation. But then, I had an epiphany - why not embrace this milestone positively? After all, age is merely a number, and countless older adults today feel far younger than their chronological age suggests. For us, 50 is the new 30, 60 is the new 40. And so on!
Drawing upon my background in journalism and communications, gained through my work with distinguished media and brands like the South China Morning Post and Chanel, among others, I decided to channel my passion for a diverse range of interests - from lifestyle and health to sports and spirituality - into a platform that informs, inspires, empowers, and entertains the vibrant Silverithmic community.
But it’s not just about personal fulfilment. I also aim to help reshape society’s perception of ageing. According to the World Health Organization, by 2024, the 65-and-over age group in Europe will surpass the youth population. Looking ahead, the United Nations Population Division projects a doubling of the global 65+ population by 2050, reaching a staggering 1.6 billion individuals. This defining global trend means that Silverithmics truly matter!
